Engineered to Endure

Every journey puts luggage under stress. We put ours under test.

Leather Handle Jerk Test (Top)

THE HANDLE IS A LOAD-BEARING COMPONENT.

A carry handle experiences repeated acceleration, deceleration and sudden loading throughout travel. The top-handle jerk test evaluates the handle assembly under repeated mechanical loading.

TESTED TO 3,000 CYCLES OF REPEATED LOAD.
INTERNAL LOAD-SMALL-44 LB, M & L-55 LB

DESIGNED TO EVALUATE:

  • Handle attachment integrity
  • Load resistance
  • Structural connection points
  • Repeated mechanical stress

Tumble Test

IMPACT IS PART OF THE JOURNEY.

Luggage doesn't travel gently.
It is lifted, dropped, rotated, transferred and repeatedly exposed to uncontrolled movement throughout its lifecycle.

The tumble test challenges the case under repeated rotational impact to evaluate structural integrity and the ability of the luggage to withstand repeated mechanical shock.

TESTED AT 50 CYCLES INTERNAL LOAD-SMALL-44 LB, M & L-55 LB −12°C CONDITIONING

Leather Handle Jerk Test (Side)

STRENGTH IS NOT DIRECTIONAL.

The side handle experiences a different load path from the top carry handle.

That difference matters.
The side-handle jerk test evaluates the handle and its attachment points under repeated loading from the lateral position.

TESTED TO 3,000 CYCLES INTERNAL LOAD-SMALL-44 LB, M & L-55 LB

One handle. One connection system. Repeated mechanical stress.

Trolley Handle Test

ENGINEERED FOR THE PULL.

A suitcase trolley system has to withstand more than simple extension.

It must handle repeated pulling forces, sudden changes in direction and the mechanical loads generated while the case is in motion.

The trolley handle assembly is evaluated under repeated jerk loading to assess its structural performance.

TESTED AT 500 CYCLES INTERNAL LOAD-SMALL-44 LB, M & L-55 LB

Mileage Test

BUILT TO KEEP MOVING.

The wheel system carries the load, absorbs continuous vibration, and remains in motion for kilometers at a time.

The mileage test evaluates wheel performance under continuous rolling conditions with additional load applied to the case.

TEST CONDITIONS SPEED - 3 M/H CONTINUOUS RUNNING - 4 HOURS BASE DISTANCE - 12 M TOTAL DISTANCE - 24 M ADDITIONAL LOAD -15 LB INTERNAL LOAD-SMALL-44 LB, M & L-55 LB

24 M OF CONTINUOUS MOVEMENT. NO BREAK. NO RESET. NO PAUSE IN THE TEST CYCLE.

Telescopic Handle
Jerk Test

PRECISION IN MOTION.

The telescopic handle is one of the most mechanically active components of a suitcase.

Every extension, pull and sudden change in direction transfers load through the handle assembly and its connection to the case.

The trolley handle is therefore tested under repeated jerk loading to evaluate mechanical endurance.
